RADIO: Dixon Of Dock Green Series 1 Ends Today On BBC Radio 4 Extra



Series 1 of Dixon Of Dock Green concludes today on BBC Radio 4 Extra as PC George Dixon finds himself in real danger in episode 6. David Calder stars as George Dixon, David Tennant plays Andy and Charlie Brook plays Mary. Dixon Of Dock Green was created by Sue Rodwell based on the scripts from the classic TV series by Ted Willis. It was produced for BBC radio by Viv Beeby and originally broadcast in 2005. Although a second series was produced, this was David Tennant’s final episode as his commitments to Doctor Who meant that he was unable to return

RADIO: Dixon Of Dock Green Starring David Tennant Begins On BBC Radio 4 Extra



The rerun of the 2005 radio adaptation of Dixon Of Dock Green begins on BBC Radio 4 Extra today with the first episode London Pride. David Calder takes on the iconic role of George Dixon with David Tennant as his young sidekick Andy Crawford and Charlie Brooks as Mary Dixon. The series was written by Sue Rodwell from the original scripts by Ted Willis and produced for BBC Radio 4 by Viv Beeby. David Tennant stars in the first of the two series.

RADIO: Listen To David Tennant In Repeated Dixon Of Dock Green Series



BBC Radio 4 Extra are repeating another of David Tennant's past projects as next Friday sees the beginning of a rerun of the radio adaptation of Dixon Of Dock Green.

Dixon Of Dock Green, the classic BBC TV series ran for around 20 years from the 1950s - 70s and starred Jack Warner in the iconic role of PC George Dixon. In 2005 the series was revived for radio, adapted by Sue Rodwell from the original scripts by Ted Willis and produced by Viv Beeby. David Calder took up the role of George Dixon with David Tennant joining up as his young sidekick Andy Crawford. Charlie Brooks of Eastenders fame played Mary, Dixon's daughter and Andy's love interest. Dixon Of Dock Green ran for two series of six episodes each on Radio 4; however, David Tennant starred in the first series only as his commitment to Doctor Who made it impossible for him to continue.

Episode 2 can be heard on Monday 13th January at the same times with the series continuing every day for the rest of the week.

Double Income No Kids Yet Concludes On BBC Radio 4 Extra



The third series of David Tennant’s radio sitcom Double Income No Kids Yet concludes today on BBC Radio 4 Extra. The comedy, originally broadcast in 2003, stars David with Elizabeth Carling as professional married couple Daniel and Lucy. Tony Gardner and Tracy-Ann Oberman also star as their best friends Andy and Katie.

Friends are getting divorced, accountants are living as cavemen and eighty seven year old women are having triplets. Have Daniel and Lucy finally had enough of dealing with other people's problems?

The series was written by David Spicer and produced by Liz Anstee.

The third series of David Spicer’s radio sitcom Double Income No Kids Yet continues today on BBC Radio 4 Extra.

The series, stars David Tennant and Elizabeth Carling as childless married couple, Daniel and Lucy, who have started to question their own priorities in life and made significant changes. Tony Gardner and Tracy-Ann Oberman also feature as the couple’s best friends Andy and Katie.

Episode 4
As an expectant mother Lucy is trying to avoid stress - until she tries to gently break the news of her pregnancy to her Mum and Dad. Meanwhile Daniel gets an unwelcome taste of the joys of fatherhood.

Double Income No Kids Yet Continues On BBC Radio Today



The third series of David Tennant’s radio sitcom Double Income No Kids Yet continues today on BBC Radio 4 Extra. The series, written by David Spicer, follows the life of a childless married couple, Daniel and Lucy, in a world of friends with children and never-ending problems as they start to question their own priorities in life. Double Income No Kids Yet Series 3 Repeated On BBC Radio From Today



The third series of Double Income No Kids Yet begins a welcome repeat run on BBC Radio 4 Extra from this morning. 

Originally broadcast in 2003, the final series of the sitcom written by David Spicer stars David Tennant and Elizabeth Carling as Dan and Lucy, a childless professional couple in a world of people with children. Tony Gardner and Tracy-Ann Oberman also appear as the couple’s best friends Andy and Katy.

Episode 1
Dan is offered a new job. Lucy is jealous of the time he is spending with new boss Catriona, but Dan is more troubled by visions of cheese. Meanwhile Katy is a mum again and she and Andy are seeking inspiration for a name for their new son.

Double Income No Kids Yet Series Three Repeated On BBC Radio From Next Week



From Monday 18th November, BBC Radio 4 Extra will run a repeat of the third and final series of Double Income No Kids Yet starring David Tennant and Elizabeth Carling.

In the sitcom, originally broadcast in 2003, childless professional couple Daniel and Lucy (David Tennant and Elizabeth Carling) continue to navigate a world of people with children. From sorting out their friends' relationship problems, dealing with a new boss and coping with life changing events of their own, the series sees Daniel and Lucy go from comedy to poignancy over the course of six episodes. 

Double Income No Kids Yet was written by David Spicer and produced by Liz Anstee. The sitcom also stars Tracy-Ann Oberman as Katie and Tony Gardner as Andy.

Listen to the series on Mondays at 7am and 5.30pm with an early hours repeat on Tuesday at 5.30am beginning from Monday 18th November.
