Sudan free 57 Darfur rebels

http://news-updations.blogspot.com/KHARTOUM- Sudan released 57 affiliates of the rebel Justice & Equality Movement on Wednesday, President Omar al-Beshir told, a day after Khartoum & the JEM indication a ceasefire accord.

The prisoners put free represented half of the group's members in jail, AbdelBasit Sabdarat told outside the Kober prison on the border of Khartoum.

"We have presently at liberty 50 percent of those detained" in connection with a rebel attack on Khartoum's twin town of Omdurman in May 08, Beshir told during a speech in El-Fasher, the center of Northern Darfur situation.
