SYDNEY – An Indonesian-born man on Wednesday over the kill of a driver for the Malaysian consulate who was beaten by a hammer & stabbed outside his Sydney home. Police originally idea the attack on Mohd Shah Saemin, 43, who died in capital Leichhardt late on Sunday, stemmed from a road rage happening moments earlier.
Indonesian-born Hazairin Iskandar, 55, whose wife had supposedly worked with Saemin, was in prison on Wednesday & charged with his murder, police told. Officers were still hunting a 2nd man mixed up in the attack.
The attack incited Malaysia's foreign minister to call for a detailed police investigation to ensure the event wasa genuine road rage case & not a case of race-based hate crime".
