David's Doctor named as a Scottish 'Innovation' by The Independent

Today's issue of The Independent asks So, what have the Scots ever done for us? A lot is the answer to that one and listed amongst 101 of the innovations that Caledonia gave the world is none other than David Tennant's portrayal as The Doctor.
Sandwiched between defeating the Poll Tax and Dolly The Sheep is David. They say:

Doctor Who – the best ever
West Lothian-born actor David Tennant, the 10th doctor in BBC1's Doctor Who, is destined to be remembered as the people's favourite. After only one year, he was named the best doctor ever by readers of Doctor Who Magazine, beating the previous all-time favourite, Tom Baker.
