Man hanged in southern Iranian town of Bandar-Abbas

Iran Human Rights, July 14: One man was hanged in Bandar-Abbas prison (capital of the Hormozgan province, southern Iran) on the morning of July 13th.

According to the official Iranian news agency IRNA, a man identified as "Gh. K." (age not mentioned) was convicted of raping and murdering his five-year-old sister-in-law and sentenced to death by the Hormozgan Criminal Court. The sentence was upheld by branch 32 of the Iranian Supreme Court.
