A MAN who has been charged after a police chase through Sydney's west left two people hurt.
Police began then to pursuit in St Marys about 10pm (AEST) yesterday after spotting a stolen Mazda said to have been used in a series of aggravated burglaries.
The car allegedly sped through the intersection of the Lonsdale Street and Mamre Road before smashing into a Holden Commodore.
"The impact caused by the Holden to hit a power pole before the Mazda struck two police vehicles further along Mamre Road, a short distance away," police said.
A male front seat passenger in the Holden suffered from head injuries and was taken to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition.
The female Holden driver suffered minor arm injuries and two children in the back seats were unhurt.
The Mazda driver, a 32-year-old from Penrith, was charged with multiple driving offences, including failing to stop for police and driving while disqualified.
