The Cleveland Cavaliers star has filed formalities with the NBA to vary his uniform number from No. 23 to No. 6, depending to the Cleveland Plain Dealer. James wore No. 6 for the U.S. Olympic team.James told in November he was bearing in mind the change out of difference to Michael Jordan, who wore No. 23. Paperwork had to be filed by Wednesday to call for a number change for next season.
"I have done it," James said "I had previously sent it in. I'm going to be No. 6." If James switches teams fourth coming season, he can select any number he wishes. The modification only applies if he stays by the Cavaliers.
