Guangdong province –Fireworks explotion kills 21 people, includes 5 children, & 48 were wounded. The fireworks were set off by the family of former village leader Yang Junshu outside their house in Shiqiaotou village.A few of the fireworks fell on a cache of fireworks stored at the front of their home & caused a series of explosions. The family had bought 100’s of 1000’s of Yuan worth of fireworks straight from the producer, claimed villagers.
The explosion made around 7-meter wide, & around 2-metre deep pit in front of Yang's home. 13 people were killed at the sight & 8 people were died at hospital with the injured, 47 peoples were receiving treatment at hospital, including 7 who were in critical conditions. 11 bodies have been recognized, including 5 children.
