Cairo– Egypt's state security prosecutor on Monday ordered the free of 7 people accused over a noxious bazaar bombing in February 2009 that slayer a French tourist. 3 Belgians, 2 Palestinians & 2 Egyptians have been ordered free, officials said.
12 persons had been under arrest in connection with the attack. 5 are still being in custody for further investigation. A British diplomat said that the British suspect had been released in recent weeks, before withdrawing the report.
The interior ministry had accused the suspects of having ties to Al-Qaeda & of carrying out an attack on February 22 last year at the famed Khan al-Khalili bazaar in Cairo. IN this attack 17-year-old French girl was killed & 24 people, mostly tourists, were wounded in the bazaar bombing, the 1st deadly attack on tourists in Egypt since 2006.
