TEHRAN—A man convicted of killing his wife has been hanged in prison in the central Iranian city of Arak, Fars news agency reported on Tuesday.
The man, identified only by his initials ZK, was sent to the gallows on Monday for stabbing to death his wife and wounding his son-in-law and daughter by shooting them, it said.
It said he suspected his wife was having an affair with his son-in-law.
The latest hanging brings to at least 183 the number of executions in Iran this year, according to an Agence France-Presse count.
Amnesty International says Iran in 2007 carried out more death sentences than any other country apart from China, executing 317 people.
